The Simbu Province produces roughly 10% of Papua New Guinea’s Arabica coffee annually. Coffee was first introduced to the area in the early 1950s and has become the most important crop for the majority of the residents. Almost all major economic and cultural activities in Simbu these days revolve around income generated from the annual coffee crop. So, it goes without saying that Kongo is a coffee that is produced with great care, and it really shows when you taste it.
